Bud Mart's same-day cannabis delivery is free on orders of $40 or more, and $3.99 on orders under $40. That is the whole rule. It does not change with distance, time of day, weather, or how busy we are. Delivery runs 9 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, across Calgary, Airdrie, Chestermere, and the Town of Didsbury — dispatched from our AGLC-licensed stores, with government photo ID checked at the door every single time.
This page is the canonical definition of the service. You'll see "Free Delivery" across budmartcannabis.com — on city pages, product pages, and at checkout. Here's exactly what it means, where it applies, and what it doesn't include.
What Free Delivery Is
- Free on orders $40+. The minimum is measured on your subtotal before GST. Reach $40 and the delivery line at checkout reads Free.
- $3.99 under $40. A single pre-roll or a pack of gummies can still be delivered; it just carries the fee. Your cart tells you how much more you need for free delivery, so there are no surprises.
- Same-day, from a local store. Your order is picked from the shelf of the Bud Mart nearest you and driven over by our own delivery staff — not a third-party courier app.
- Typical arrival: as little as 45 minutes in Calgary, Airdrie, and Chestermere. In Didsbury, where the driver starts inside town, 30–45 minutes is typical.
- Fully legal and prepaid. Orders are paid online by credit or debit before dispatch, and the recipient shows valid ID (18+) at the door, as Alberta's retail rules require.
Every product on our shelves is available for delivery — flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, concentrates, and beverages — subject to the federal 30-gram dried-equivalent public possession limit, which our checkout calculates automatically across product types (Canada.ca: cannabis laws and regulations).
Why a $40 Minimum?
Every delivery is a real driver making a real trip. A $40 minimum lets us keep delivery free for the orders that cover that trip, and keep small orders possible at a fee that is still less than a coffee and a pastry. The number is the same for every customer and every address, and it is stated in your cart before you pay.
Where Free Delivery Is Available

Town of Didsbury. Delivery in Didsbury is dispatched from inside the town itself, which is why Didsbury gets the fastest typical window of any community we serve — 30 to 45 minutes — under the same free-on-$40+ rule. Delivery Hours
Free Delivery runs 9 AM to 10 PM, every day of the week, including weekends and most holidays. A few things to know about the clock:
- Last call is 10 PM. Orders placed before 10 PM are dispatched same-day.
- Orders placed after 10 PM are queued and go out when dispatch opens at 9 AM the next morning.
- Stores stay open until 11 PM for in-store shopping and pickup, so if you miss the delivery cutoff, pickup is still an option for another hour.
- Delivery windows are estimates. Traffic, weather, and order volume — especially during peak evening hours — can stretch a delivery past the typical window. The fee rule never changes because of it.
How Free Delivery Works
The whole process takes about five minutes of your time, and there's no app to download.
- Enter your address on budmartcannabis.com. The site routes you to the menu of the licensed Bud Mart store nearest you, showing live inventory — what you order is what's physically on that store's shelf.
- Build your cart. The cart shows how much more you need for free delivery, and the checkout automatically tracks the federal 30-gram dried-equivalent limit across categories, so a legal order can't be exceeded even by accident (Canada.ca).
- Prepay online. All delivery orders are paid by credit or debit card before dispatch. We don't accept cash at the door — drivers carry product, not money.
- Track your driver. You'll get a link to follow your order from dispatch to your door.
- Show ID at the door. Someone 18+ with valid government photo ID receives the sealed order. That's it.
What Free Delivery Doesn't Include
- Orders under $40 are not free. They are delivered for $3.99.
- Addresses outside our zones. We deliver only where our stores are licensed to serve; the address check on the site is the authority.
- Cash or pay-at-the-door. Every delivery order is prepaid online.
- Leaving an order unattended. If nobody 18+ with ID is home, the driver returns the order to the store and we refund it.
